Colored Markings and Patterns with Laser Technology – new advanced methods and technologies now enable colored markings using lasers.
In metals, it is possible to take advantage of the natural discoloration of the metal during the laser marking process. Colored markings can be achieved on steels, coated metals, and particularly on titanium.
Plastic color marking
In plastics, laser additives are used, which activate during the laser marking process. A color masterbatch containing 1-2% laser-sensitive additives is mixed into the base plastic material. During the marking process, the laser causes the marking to change color. By utilizing this technique, different color shades can be achieved, resulting in customized and permanent marking solutions.
